Living In My "Horse Girl" Era - Now Offering Equine Therapy
If you have been a client of mine, you probably are not surprised by this and are well aware of my love for animals.... I’m excited to share that I am now offering equine-assisted psychotherapy as part of my practice here in Whatcom county!! This work brings together traditional therapy with the powerful, grounding presence of horses to support emotional healing, self-awareness, and connection. Sessions take place alongside a horse, where clients can engage in guided activities and mindfulness practices that help regulate the nervous system and deepen insight.
Again, if you have ever been a client of mine, chances are we have done some breath work practices in session... but can you imagine a few minutes of grounding breath work alongside a horse?? Horses are incredibly attuned to human emotions, often reflecting patterns in communication, boundaries, and trust in ways that can be both eye-opening and empowering.
Equine therapy can be especially helpful for individuals working through anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, trauma, or simply looking for a more experiential and nature-based approach to therapy. Being in the presence of horses often helps people reconnect with themselves in a way that feels safe, calming, and authentic.
I am so incredibly grateful to be adding this modality to my work and look forward to supporting clients in this unique and meaningful therapeutic experience. Embrace your inner horse girl with me!
